Site

This Web site was launched on the 5 May 2001.

The initial purpose for this Web site was to help the Manuel José Committee promote the 2001 - 2002 family reunion. It is envisaged that the site will grow and expand as a news and information tool for family members.

This site is designed and managed by Fieri Solutions - the intelligent solution.

Fieri Solutions

Fieri Solutions is actually Peggy McConnell (Mary Hovell B.3.3) and husband Shane Beverley.

Peggy and Shane are both in the information management industry, and so are well aware of the advantages of the electronic information medium.

Since moving to Wellington in 2000 Peggy has been employed as Information Services Coordinator for Early Childhood Development. ECD provides information about early childhood education and parenting to groups, parents and the wider community. She is also Kairanagahau for Te Komako, the Maori training unit of ECD. In this role she is resource person and web content manager for "Atawhaingia Te Pa Harakeke", a parenting programme designed specifically for Maori.

Shane Beverley has worked in positions as a research scientist, analyst programmer, systems manager, and is currently Information Manager for the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet. Shane has a range of tertiary qualifications: BSc, MSc, Master of Library and Information Studies, and is currently studying towards a Diploma in Information Systems at Massey University.

Peggy and Shane have 3 sons between them; Andrew, Joe and Patrick who did not help much in the creation of this site!

Design

This site is best viewed at 800x600 resolution with Microsoft Internet Explorer 5 or later. It was designed using cascading Style Sheets and is therefore viewed best by browsers supporting HTML 4.

Netscape 3 does not support cascading style sheets but can still be used to view the site in a similar fashion to how it looks in later browsers.

Newer browsers can be downloaded from download.com

Whakapapa codes

The alphabetical codes on the left of the family trees, relating to José's grandchildren, are the same as the codes used in Olive branches.
