Fiesta 2010/2011

This awesome Reunion/Fiesta is going to include a visit from our Spanish relatives!!!

It will run from 27-31 2010 in Gisborne and up the Coast.

Gisborne is going to be very booked up at christmas (Rhythm & Vines; Kapa Haka comps; Pa Wars; Rodeo; Beach Races) so you'll need to start planning with your whanau where you are going to camp and put your head down.   Now's a good time to come back to your Papakainga.

 

There will be a "Dawn Ceremony" on New Year's Day at Maunga Hikurangi.   Cost per person to go up on New Year's day 2011 is $130.00.   Start Saving if you want to be part of that haerenga.

We are calling for donations to help pay for our Spanish guests.  Please contact Edda to donate (see "committee contacts")

Contibutions will be used to pay for:-

  • a 30-seater bus (and driver) or Vans to carry our Spanish family; Mayor of Valverde del Majano; Spanish Ambassador to all destinations;
  • Their hotel/motel accommodation and meals;
  • Provision of food/catering at various marae (e.g. hakari)
  • Koha
  • Gifts to Spanish manuhiri
  • Entry fees for any sightseeing expeditions. .... plus more

All of these things will only happen with contributions and 200% commitment from all of the Joses

THIS IS AN ABSOLUTELY AWESOME THING THAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN FOR US JOSES. WE ARE FINALLY GOING TO SEE OUR FACES FROM SPAIN AND THEY ARE GOING TO SEE OURS.
