Arrival of whanau Los Espanóles.

27th Dec. 2010.

That they (Españoles), book direct flights to Gisborne.

That they book flights immediately.

Amelia indicated our manuhiri Español could be here till 2nd Jan 2011.

The programme.

Eva (mangai in Valverde) is “getting into” the whakapapa and the relationship between the Españoles and Paniora. She is working with the mayor of Valverdé del Majano who very urgently wants a programme.

A point raised was to ask what they (manuhiri Españoles) would like to do.

Eva and her sister are coming in on December 27th 2010.

Rather than wait for each others programmes we move on with our programme.

Programme outlay following.

GB.

Los documents.

The Gisborne City Council is supporting our relationship.

Mayor Meng Foon has the “Sister” Documents which have the support of the two Councils but has not yet an agenda/schedule as to when it’s going to be signed.

Accommodation

Question raised…Where are the rest going to stay? We’ve got to accommodate 28 people.

Capt Cook is very expensive, La Casa Blanca will be in the process of renovating, accommodation in Gisborne is in demand at the ‘high’ season because of the various happenings during that time. Manuhiri Españoles cannot confirm their numbers until 1 month before leaving therefore we organise beds amongst whanau. (?)
